Giving Back to others is one of the ways I gift myself. Featured here are the charities and causes I support and advocate.
The Backpack Program first began in the Vallejo City Unified School District in Vallejo, CA, as a way to give back to the Sabathia’s home community. Since then, the program has grown to include the New York Tri State Area and public schools in the Bronx. As a single parent, CC’s mom Margie often could not afford to buy CC back to school supplies and a new backpack to start the school year. She hopes this program will help other single mothers and families and perhaps can take one less burden off of a parent’s shoulders. Our goal is to provide the children with everything they will need to start them off in the right direction!
